Tanzania Migration Safari

Day 1: Arusha
Guests arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport are met by a Seamless Safaris representative and transferred to their hotel. The day is spent at leisure. Overnight at Arusha Hotel – Breakfast.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast guests depart for Tarangire National Park arriving at Nimali Tarangire in time for lunch. The park is home to a diversity of large mammals including buffalo, elephant, lion, eland, the fringe-eared oryx, lesser and greater kudu, and gerenuk. Visitors enjoy an afternoon game drive. The following day, guests spend a full day in Tarangire, stopping for a picnic lunch. In the dry season the Tarangire River provides sanctuary for Tanzania’s highest concentration of elephants and its large population of lions. In the short rainy season the wildlife disperses across the Maasai Steppe, an area 10 times the size of the park. Overnight at Lemala Mpingo – Lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park
Guests spend a full day in Tarangire, stopping for a picnic lunch. In the dry season the Tarangire River provides sanctuary for Tanzania’s highest concentration of elephants and its large population of lions. In the short rainy season the wildlife disperses across the Maasai Steppe, an area 10 times the size of the park. Overnight at Nimali Tarangire – Lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast the tour departs for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at Lemala Ngorongoro Camp in time to collect lunch boxes before descending to the crater floor for an extended tour. Established in 1959 as a multiple land-use area, with wildlife coexisting with the semi-nomadic Maasai, the conservancy is globally acclaimed for its biodiversity. The Ngorongoro crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and provides sanctuary for some of Africa’s most extraordinary resident population of big game.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, the tour departs for the Serengeti National Park arriving in time for lunch. Few people forget their first encounter with the Serengeti, perhaps noted for its wildebeest migrating in their millions. Undeniably the greatest wildlife destination, the Serengeti plays host to thousands of animals constantly on the move in search of fresh grazing. Visitors enjoy an afternoon game. Overnight at Lemala Nanyukie – Lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Guests spend a full day in the Serengeti and enjoy a picnic lunch. A morning and afternoon game drive provides the best opportunity to experience the park renowned for its predators, especially lions. Over 500 bird species make the Serengeti an incredible birder’s destination. Visitors enjoy sundowners at the Mukoma Hills. Overnight at Lemala Nanyukie – Lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 7: Ndutu / Serengeti National Park
The tour departs after breakfast for Ndutu or the Northern Serengeti, arriving in time for lunch. After the rains in late November, the wildebeest return from the Mara River where they spend up to six months of the year. In the dry season, springs provide much needed water attracting resident game. Visitors enjoy an afternoon game drive and then return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 8: Ndutu / Serengeti National Park
Guests enjoy an early morning game drive following the migration before returning to the lodge for a late breakfast. The late morning is spent at leisure. Visitors enjoy an afternoon game drive and then return to the lodge for dinner. Overnight at Lemala Ndutu / Lemala Mara – Lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 9: Departure
After breakfast and check-out, guests are transferred to the local airstrip for a return flight to Arusha. On arrival, guests are assisted by a Seamless Safaris representative and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for outbound departure.
